Fun Rugby for children aged 2-5!
We run our 2-5 year old age group session on Sunday mornings 10:30-11:30 at Patchway high school/community college in there sports hall. The sessions are all based on fun and basic rugby skills. It is free to come and join in. There is a weekly £1 Raffle for little prizes for the children at the end of the session which is completely optional we also offer free sausage, chips and beans back at the clubhouse at Aretians RFC on station road, little stoke afterwards.
Please bring along a drink for your little one as we have regular drinks breaks throughout the session. We train inside at Patchway high/community college from October to March and go outside on the field of dreams at the club in April & September. The goal is for the little ones to join in and have some fun whilst being physically active and gaining skills to play part of a team in a great sport, it is all about having fun. If you arrive around 10/15 mins early we can sort out the registration forms before we start but please come along and feel free to ask any questions you may have. There are lots of children and parents for you to meet. 🙂
Coach Gav has 8 years experience in child minding which he feels equips him with the knowledge around child and physical development. He has a loved rugby all his life and has been coaching Rugby for 4 years for the Cubs.
Coach Yvonne is a childminder and spends her life surrounded by children. She is passionate about getting little ones involved and active. She worked alongside Gav as another childminder and was persuaded to come along and help 2 years ago. Although she has no background of Rugby she has a passion to get little ones joining in and having fun.
